This policy explains what happens to your data when you use VideoSave. The short version: VideoSave itself does not collect, store, or sell any personal information. The site does use two third-party Google services — Google Analytics and Google AdSense — which operate independently and are described in detail below.
Information VideoSave Does Not Collect
VideoSave does not require an account, a sign-up, an email address, or any personal information to use any part of the site. When you paste a video link into a downloader page, that link is used only to look up and retrieve the video you asked for — it is not logged, stored in a database, associated with your identity, or shared with anyone. Downloaded files are streamed back to your browser and are not kept on VideoSave's servers afterward. There are no user profiles, no tracking of individual download history, and no cookies set directly by VideoSave for advertising or tracking purposes.
Google Analytics
VideoSave uses Google Analytics (Google tag / gtag.js) to understand general usage patterns, such as which pages are visited, roughly how many people use the site, and which platform downloaders are most popular. Google Analytics works by placing cookies in your browser and collecting standard technical information — things like browser type, device type, approximate location (typically city or region level, derived from IP address), and pages visited. This information is aggregated and used to understand traffic trends; it is not used by VideoSave to identify you individually. Google's own use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie and tracking settings.
Google AdSense
VideoSave displays advertisements served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites on the internet, and to measure ad performance. This is standard behavior for any site running Google AdSense and is controlled by Google, not by VideoSave directly. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and manage your ad personalization settings, at Google's Ads Settings page. You can also opt out of personalized advertising generally through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page or by adjusting your browser and device-level ad tracking preferences.
Cookies
Aside from the cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense described above, VideoSave does not set its own cookies. If you have cookies disabled in your browser, the core download functionality of the site will still work normally; you may simply not see personalized ads, and Analytics may not be able to distinguish repeat visits.
Third-Party Platforms
VideoSave retrieves video content directly from the platform you specify a link for — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook. Your interaction with those platforms (including whatever data they themselves collect when you copy a link from their app or site) is governed by each platform's own privacy policy, not this one. VideoSave has no visibility into, and does not collect, any account information from those platforms.
Data Security
Because VideoSave does not store personal information or maintain user accounts, there is no persistent database of personal data that could be exposed in the event of a breach. Video links submitted through the site are processed transiently, for the duration of a single lookup or download, and are not retained afterward.
Children's Privacy
VideoSave is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time, for example if a new feature or third-party integration is added. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date above.
